Lessons from Road Construction

I was driving home from work, in the dark, after a swing shift. It was late, I was tired. I got to one of construction zones (which seem to be ubiquitous in my area) and realized vaguely they had changed the traffic pattern. Thank goodness my lane just went straight, I thought, doubting whether my fatigued brain could have handled anything more complicated.
The next morning on my opposite commute, I had to snicker because someone else’s fatigued brain had not been able to handle the complication either and they had plowed over the temporary “stay right sign”.
Hence, a few tips from road construction…
Number 1: Change is inevitable so you better be paying attention.
