Alisha is from a military family but was born and mostly raised in the Southwest. Growing up on the Navajo Reservation she realized that there are easy problems to fix and there are hard problems. That realization is confirmed every day as she works as an emergency department physician assistant. Bleeding and broken are easy to fix in comparison to addicted and hopeless. People try all sorts of things to fix their hard problems. Jesus says He is the answer. He is not a quick or easy fix but He is the only lasting one. And that is what Alisha writes and speaks about. Believing that the Bible, as God's word, addresses and is meant to be applied to every sphere of life, she is an eclectic writer and uses a variety of styles. So, if you didn't quite click with a devotional or an article, don't worry -- she admittedly has a quirky sense of humor.
About the Photographer
All the photography for Pandora's Porch was provided by Erika, Alisha's sister. Erika is a native New Mexican who loves capturing the beauty of God's creation all around. In her profession, she too sees a lot of hard problems but she also knows Jesus is a hardcore Savior.
