Who decided that… A king can reign there and shoot deer (but not dears). He can control the reins of people’s hearts and their horses (but not their harts). And he can benefit from rain that they’re praying for without preying on anyone (except harts and deer). How did we get stuck with a language that changes the color of our words? Once you read something it becomes red no matter what color it was in the beginning.
Yes, wherever we are is here and here is there for someone.
No, we are here and we will always be here and we can never be there. Maybe, define “there”. “Seriously, I got to literally walk in Jesus’ shoes!” Maybe one of the disciples (or a few of them) will say this in heaven.
“Don’t worry -- I’ve done this before.” Could have been Lazarus’ last words (and perhaps Tabitha and a couple of others). “Yeah, that’s my Brother – the One Who turned water into wine.” There were a few people who might have said that. “Hello, I’m forgiven and following Jesus with everything!” Are you one these people? Elijah is the only one who could reasonably give a TED talk on “How to Ride a Fiery Chariot”.
Sarah is the only one who could reliably write on “Natural Conception and Childbirth…at 90!” and I bet Elizabeth could write the forward! Balaam is the one who gets a blog on “Effective Communication with Your Donkey”. And Jesus is the One and Only Who can do all of these. |
