Would Adam have broken out in poetry if Eve had been wearing a mask? With a mask, would Saul have been more successful at concealing his identity from the witch at Endor? Would King Artaxerxes have noticed that Nehmiah was sad? Just curious… Sorry, I’m late…I got stuck in traffic.

Wow, didn’t see that one coming. Did I say that? I’m worried that… What am I doing? Isaac’s inability to recognize his son is much easier to understand during a COVID pandemic. Jacob could have just said, “Hi Dad! It’s Esau. You know, you are at high risk of catching this virus so I am just going to maintain social distance. Oh, and I brought you food.”
“Why do you sound like Jacob?” “Uh, it’s the mask – it has a hepa filter.” Duchess, my rescue puppy, is an octogenarian…at least. Her joints are a bit stiff and she no longer runs everywhere. But she can run full speed in her sleep. She only barks once in a blue moon. But she barks consistently in her sleep. She has growled twice in her entire life and once she was sleeping! Conclusion: Duchess is a much better guard dog when she is asleep than when she is awake. We are thinking of moving her bed to the rug in the entry way and that way she can also trip any unwelcome intruders.  |
