(DISCLAIMER: These instructions assume that for life as well as cliff jumping you are jumping in a safe place rather than acting foolishly and asking God to bless it.)
4. You will be afraid. Being afraid doesn’t mean anything. What you do when you are scared is what matters. Either you take courage or cave to fear. (Luke 15:43) 5. Focus on something else, besides the dropping, falling, hurting, freezing, and belly flopping. Distract your mind by wholly focusing on something else and then, jump. In life that focus is God. Follow hard after Him and jump. (Psalm 119) 6. Life is precious. Some people come up from the water whooping. I think it’s the adrenaline and the mind realizing, “I am going to live!” And being alive is a great thing. (Psalms 30:3) 7. It becomes addicting. The thrill of jumping. The rush of falling. The exhilaration of surviving. The joy of being alive. God, please let obeying You and following Your will for my life become that addicting. (Jeremiah 20:9) Jump. Just jump. That is the bottom line. Eventually, you have to stop with the mind games and the freaking out and everything else. And just jump. ‘Hear, O Israel: Today you are on the verge of battle with your enemies. Do not let your heart faint, do not be afraid, and do not tremble or be terrified because of them; for the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’ – Deuteronomy 20:3-4 Comments are closed.
