(DISCLAIMER: Cliff jumping, like life, is an inherently dangerous activity and these instructions are not meant to be used as a safety manual. All individuals who take part in cliff jumping (and life in general) must be responsible for the risks.)
1. Cliff jumping is risky. Most people don’t/won’t/can’t and have great excuses. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy this adrenaline pumping activity and minimize the risk. Life is risky. And most people don’t live well. But that doesn’t mean you can’t lower the risk and have an abundant life. (Psalms 94:15) 2. You have to decide you are going to jump before you get up there and look down. Because if you don’t, you will look down, freak out, and have a very difficult time getting your mind in a state where you can even begin to think about jumping. The same in life, you have to decide to say no before the temptation and yes to God before He asks the question, commit to following His plans before you have the choice. (Joshua 24:15) 3. Everyone is afraid. Even the guy who goes first. But something is more important than being afraid. Maybe it is what his friends think. How he feels about himself. Having fun…all pretty shallow. But in life something is more important than fear. Fear of God. Love. Courage. Faith. Find it. (Deuteronomy 7:18) Comments are closed.
