Based on my minuscule patience (especially as a gardener), I feel that spring should be called slug.
(BTW, I think that shadow in the middle of the red glass looks like...well, never mind...medical people you know :0). Summer is a tough one from poets. Bummer, dumber, and hummer do not generally make positive appearances in poetry. Winter at least rhymes with hinter. And spring and fall rhymes with lots of things...but why doesn't autumn rhyme with anything?
Oh conventions!
Pepper is presumed to be black unless it is superficially designated white. Sugar is presumed to be white unless it is specified that it is brown. And -- chocolate is chocolate colored unless it includes either "dark" or "white" beforehand. |
